SCHOLARSHIPS, FELLOWSHIPS, PRIZES
AND BURSARIES
Whether you're studying, or intending to study
in Australia, there are lots of options to help pay your way.
It's not always necessary to be an A grade student, as some
scholarships are for students with particular talents, with
disabilities, or from disadvantaged or ethnic backgrounds.
There is also assistance for students coming from specific
locations, either within Australia or overseas.
To help you find your way around the 1,885 scholarships
and fellowships in this database, they are organised into
categories:
Secondary
Undergraduate

Foreign Students
The Australian government has established a
scholarships database for foreign students at Study
In Australia. The website also has extensive information
about courses and student visas. While there are many scholarship
opportunities for high school and postgraduate study, very
few are offered at undergraduate level unless the student
is already studying at an Australian institution.
An exception is the Australian Development Scholarships.
Citizens of the following countries are advised to consult
the Ausaid web site at www.ausaid.gov.au/scholar/studyin.cfm
for further information:
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, East Timor,
Fiji, Indonesia, Kenya, Kiribati, Laos, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives,
Micronesia, Mongolia, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Pakistan,
Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, South
Africa, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uganda,
Vanuatu, Vietnam and Zambia.
